The Church with a Heart to Help Hurting People
Little Rock Baptist Church is a fundamental, independent, missionary Baptist church, preaching and teaching God's Word from the King James Bible, and believing it to be our sole authority for faith and practice in our walk, worship, and work for our Lord. It is our goal to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, to promote godliness in our land, and to pray for lost sinners to be saved.
A meeting place was established for the saints in the Friendship community of Glade Spring, Virginia in 1928. With a few men, women, boys and girls, a small-framed building was erected as a meeting house for the congregation, which later grew into a much larger and nicer building over the next 70 years. During that 70-year period, the church elected several pastors and remained a stable witness to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ - continuing faithful to the King James Bible and its convictions and doctrines. In November of 1989, the church called Brother Buster Mullins as its pastor, who continues to serve in that role to this day. By February of 1998, the membership had outgrown its building and realized a need for a larger building. Construction began on the new church in September of 1998 and the church officially moved into the building on October 10, 2000. God has blessed us with beautiful facilities and a wonderful place to worship for which we give Him all the praise and glory. Our church, parsonage, and fellowship hall sits on about 7 beautiful acres of land just off of the South Fork of the Holston River. |
Little Rock Baptist Church is a missions-minded church, supporting dozens of missionaries around the world. The sun never sets on our missionary program as we presently have missionaries scattered all around the world. Our church has also been blessed to send men out of its membership to become missionaries, pastors, and prison workers, for which we are extremely indebted and thankful to our wonderful Lord for.
LRBC is a place where God is worshipped in an old-fashioned manner: God's saints rejoicing in their salvation and being taught how to serve and honor their Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Buster Mullins and the friendly people of the Little Rock Baptist Church give you and your family a heartfelt invitation to come visit with us. Our service times are 10 AM on Sunday Morning, 6 PM on Sunday evening, and 7 PM on Wednesday evening. We are proud to be a King James-only Baptist Church. For those who may be physically handicapped, our church is entered at ground level and easily accessible by wheelchair.
It would be our joy to see you this Sunday at the Little Rock Baptist Church. God Bless You!
