Pastor Buster Mullins was born in Jonesville, Virginia on September 29, 1958. He was born again in early February of 1979, as a result of the ministry of Bro. Harry Bacon of Jonesville, Virginia and of Dr. James Rainwater from Florida, and he surrendered to the call of the ministry later in that same month. Pastor Mullins preached his first message on May 6, 1979 and has continued in the ministry unto this date. He pastored two churches prior to being called to pastor the Little Rock Baptist Church in November of 1989. Brother Mullins has been used in both the pastorate and in evangelism, having preached hundreds of revivals and Bible conferences throughout thirteen states and Mexico in his ministry.
Our pastor is a true Man of God. He always preaches the Gospel truth as it is in the King James Bible. The hours that is put into studying the Bible are very apparent in his messages. When you hear his preaching you know that God is using him to lead the church closer to the Lord. Brother Buster cares deeply for the lost and keeping the church clean from ungodly living. Thank God that He gave us men that will still preach in these days. If you come to this church hungry for God, you will leave fed by the Holy Spirit. To grow with God, a Christian needs exhortation and chastising, which is exactly what you can expect from Pastor Mullins. The following verses best describe what is evident in our pastor:
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Our Pastor's Wife
Pastor Mullins met his wife-to-be, Dorothy Ann (Marcum) Mullins in March of 1980 and they were married on November 22, 1980. Their marriage has served as a blessed example of two people committed to Christ and to each other since their wedding day in 1980.
Sister Dorothy Ann Mullins was saved on March 14th, 1975, as a result of the ministry of Pastor Bill Johnson of Rose Hill, Virginia. She has been a faithful asset to the ministry of Pastor Mullins for over 40 years and has served as a shining example of a dedicated Christian and pastor's wife. LRBC is blessed to have Sister Mullins' life for a pattern for both our young and older ladies to model their Christian lives after.
